AFRICA CENTRE FOR IMPLEMENTATION RESEARCH & TRAINING
Welcome
The Africa Centre for Implementation Science and Training (Africa- CIRT) is a research and capacity building institution committed to strengthening the translation of evidence into policy and practice. The Centre focuses on advancing implementation science, applied research, and workforce development to address complex development challenges across Africa.
What we do
Training and Capacity Development
The centre delivers high quality, practice oriented training programmes designed to strengthen research and implementation capacity across Africa. Our training activities target students, early career researchers, faculty members, practitioners, programme implementers, and policymakers. We focus on equipping participants with practical skills required to design, conduct, analyse, and apply research in real world settings.
The centre conducts and supports rigorous, policy relevant, and practice oriented research with a strong emphasis on implementation science and applied research. Our research agenda is driven by the need to close the gap between evidence generation and real world practice, particularly within Africa. Our work is grounded in interdisciplinary collaboration and contextual relevance, ensuring that research findings are actionable, scalable, and sustainable.
The Centre Consultancy Service is a specialised professional arm of the Centre established to provide expert, evidence based consultancy services to public, private, and non governmental organisations. The service leverages the multidisciplinary expertise of the Centre’s faculty, researchers, and technical professionals to support decision making, policy formulation, programme design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
